Recent Activities
Several seminars and campaign programs covered by the local media were conducted within the areas of Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan. Numerous political figures and human rights leaders were also participants within those events. SAW Secretary General Shahidul Islam Talukder met with a host of foreign leaders of different countries and visited Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia to further strengthen its regional chapters. The regional chapters of SAW have been doing human rights campaigns and other issues for democracy and development. SAW plays a significant role to promote democracy and sustainable development in the region and moves forward to form a collective voice for the human rights and empowerment of the people in its respective working areas (country). It has already started to make a liaison with the like-minded organizations, civil societies, media, researchers, University teachers, international organizations, aid agencies and government bodies to eliminate the long traditional corrupt-structure in different nation -states of the globe where peoples' rights are violated and civic facilities are on threat.
